Alessandro Pautasso / Kaneda
Colour does something to people. Claude Monet ones said:'colour is my day-long obsession, joy and torment'. Looking at Alessandro Pautasso's work and his use of colour, joy is the emotion which takes over while looking at his works!
Alessandro Pautasso aka Kaneda is an Italian illustrator and graphic designer, whose specialty lies in digital art and mixed media. He began drawing when he was a child, but when Alessandro discovered an illustration book about the Beatles by Alan Aldridge, he realized that he wanted to become a designer/ illustrator.
Portraits are always present in his works. Breaking down the faces in abstract geometric shapes with strong bright colours and trying to revive the colors of the past. His vibrant and colourful works are tailor made to portray sportstars. Shown here are two series portraying the biggest stars in basketball and football. Enjoy, with emphasis on the joy!
