Maybe if you have ever visited Amsterdam you have seen them. The big and bolt drawings by streetart collective Kamp Seedorf of Ajax players from the past like Van Basten, Kluivert, Rijkaard, Ibrahimovic and of course Clarence Seedorf. If not, you lost out on some, but there are still a lot around! It's sport streetart at it's rawest and best!
Their true identities are unknown, but these streetartist from Almere and Amsterdam named themselves after their hero Clarence Seedorf. He is one of the most critized football players in Holland ever, but also one of the most successful. They work under the motto: HAND PAINTED. SEMI PERMANENT. GOOD LIFE. Making pieces of footballers and ballers.
A couple of weeks ago they made a painting of a 15 year old Seedorf on a wall at the Weesperplein in Amsterdam. But two days later the wall was cleaned. 'A little bit too semi permanent' according to the crew.
The boys are always creating, so keep your eyes out when strolling through Amsterdam next time and you will be able to find one in real life! And don't blink because semi permanent can be gone quick!
