Norman Rockwell

(1894-1978)

Amazing name, amazing art. Very recognizable style and a true reflection of American culture. 

In his own words: 'Without thinking too much about it in specific terms, I was showing the America I knew and observed to others who might not have noticed.' And we all know sports have a big place in American culture. 

In his life he made more than 4000 works, one of the most succesfull commercial artists of his time. Norman made a lot of illustrations featuring popular sports as shown here on the left.
