Stanley Chow was on the Art Loves Sport radar for quite some time already, but when Marcus Marritt mentioned him as one of his colleagues to check out in his Artist Interview, there was no excuse to wait any longer to give this proud Manchester, England, native a feature here!
The last 20 years the art and illustration work of Chow has found worldwide acclaim, which becomes real clear when you look at some of the clients he has worked for and still does: Saatchi and Saatchi, TIME, Nike, Coca-Cola and The New Yorker.
His works are unmistakingly recognizable. Geometric shapes, sweeping curves, colourful. Mostly faces. And mostly faces of celebrities ranging from music, television to film, but most importantly sports! Chow's own love of football becomes clear through the amount of portraits of footballers he has made. But also some other sports like tennis and boxing get love.
He is truly one of the most acclaimed artist stemming from England, so be sure to go through all of his works on his site. Take your time, you will not be dissapointed!
And give him a follow while you are at it, also for some foodie photography: @stan_chow
