Fellow countryman Marcel Labrie is an artist who doesn't want to commit himself to a particular style or technique: "The subject defines the style. Ranging from photo realistic to abstract. Music, film, the city, everyday life, inspiration is everywhere. But just as important to me, is what my work means to someone else. Art should touch the soul."
A big Feijenoord Rotterdam football club fan he has made works of the stadium, hero Dirk Kuijt, but also some works of boxing legend Mohammed Ali. Combinations of painting, graffiti and stencilling.
Labrie was here..! is his label, under which he makes paintings, murals (graffiti), drawings and photographs.
