This song and music video is a classic in the hip hop and basketball world. The song was on Kurtis Blow's album Ego Trip. It's a song to show his love to the sport of basketball full of shoutouts to players and references to the firm place of basketball in daily life in America. When I was younger I played basketball in the backyard of my parents house with this song blasting out of the boombox. Emulating the moves he was rapping about (except for the dunks though haha). In 2012 Lil' Bow Bow covered the song for the soundtrack of the movie Like Mike. But nothing comes close to the original. Weird and unexplainable dancing and martial arts and all! One of the classics!
