Most certainly something I wanted when I was young. Being like Michael Jordan. Every Sunday evening a short recap of NBA games was shown on Dutch television and afterwards I always went to my little backyard court and try the moves I just saw. So Sportsong of the Week #32 takes me back to my youth: 'Be Like Mike' by Teknoe.

After the Bulls won the 1991 NBA Finals, Gatorade began their "Be Like Mike" ad campaign featuring the league's biggest star. The "Be Like Mike" catchphrase soon became common in households and playgrounds across America.

About Teknoe there was nothing to be found on the internet. But the CD versions of the single were released in extremely limited quantities, and sell for a lot of money, so maybe he is just living somewhere of royalties or something.
